Akshay Bhalla

Akshay Bhalla as a Dj has been part of the EDM culture and festivals in the UK and has achieved many goals in a span of 3 years. He is one of the few who have Trained under Carl Cox and swiftly became a frequent resident at the Church of EDM; Ministry of Sound ,London . Akshay has been part of festivals such as Bestival and Together in the United Kingdom and Romania respectively ; and has inspired big crowds with his scintillating choice of music and mixes. Apart from festivals he also enjoys playing at clubs which only serve EDM as their primary genre. Ákshay has played at many contemporary and prestigious clubs such as Matter, Cargo, BCM and Together and hopes to do the same around the world.

DJ Akshay Bhalla describes his music as “Funky-PHAT Electronic Dance Music”- mixing together progressive house, Tech-house and trance with an influence of some Spanish tunes.

The road to success was hard and stony. His first residency has made him popular in the underground circuit of London and it gave a clear signal that it needs to be part of Indian music agenda. He is also now a regular resident at SATOradio.com and EYE1Radio; hosting a weekly radio show bringing the best tunes from around the world and has over 400 listeners every week.

In 2009, Akshay Bhalla came 5th in the world internet radio competition hosted by Amsterdam and Miami’s Radio 538. Despite the young age the artist has opened for many well established artists such as Alex Kenji, Nicky Romero, Michael Woods, Pete Tong, Jude Jules and more. He is currently active with the Global Underground Brand (Carl Cox) and will hope to increase the awareness of EDM.
